The Langley Park Veterans Section comprises of 125 playing members, each paying £2 per year, together with 10 non-playing members.
The Section enters a team of 12 players in the Society of Kent Veterans League (division two) and has been the champions for the past four years. Matches are played on a home/away basis against Chislehurst, Cherry Lodge, Royal Blackheath, Sundridge Park and West Kent golf clubs. The winners of the league then compete against the winners of the other Kent leagues in the finals.
The Veterans Section also enters a team of 6 players in ther Society of Kent Golf Veterans Cup.
The 'Ancient Britons' (aged 60 years and over) play 12 'friendly' matches against Croham Hurst, Crowborough Beacon, Shirley Park, Chislehurst, Addington Palace and Dulwich & Sydenham. On alternate years a match is also played against The Wildernesse Club, again on a home/away basis.
The final match of the season is a match against the Langley Park Veterans League Team. Each match has its own Captain/Manager.
In addition, there are also four Quarterly Meetings and the player with the best combined stableford points and goes forward to represent the Veterans Section in the Society of Kent Veterans Singles Championship, held in September.
The Langley Park Veterans 'Team Open' is held in May when we entertain 32 teams from Kent and the surrounding counties, consisting of 3 members from the visiting clubs with one Langley Park veteran in each team. In July we hold 'Veterans Guest Day'.
On Friday's, between March and September, there is a 'roll up' open to all members of the Veterans Section. The best five scores are calculated over these months and the winner receives 'The Dennis Arnold Trophy'.
The highlight of the veterans year is the Annual Dinner held in March/April, which is always very well supported.
Officers of the Section:
President: Mr. Dennis Arnold
Chairman: Mr. Joe Rowlinson
Vice Chairman: Mr. Gordon Hayward

So as you can see the Langley Park Veterans is a very active, very popular and very well supported section of the Club, and we always welcome new members !!!!!
